Zinc Rich Primer

Epoxy zinc-rich primer is a more popular paint in the market. Ⅰ. Similarities between epoxy zinc-rich primer and epoxy coal tar pitch:

Epoxy coal tar pitch and epoxy zinc-rich primer are both epoxy resin paints, which have the characteristics of excellent epoxy resin paint adhesion, hard paint layer, alkali resistance, and moisture and cold resistance. Oxygen resin paint must be applied with supporting facilities of paint and epoxy curing agent.

Ⅱ. The difference between epoxy zinc-rich primer and epoxy coal tar pitch:

1. The application environment is different:

(1) Epoxy zinc-rich primer: It is mainly used for anti-rust treatment of steel in ambient air, including industrial production ambient air, deep sea ambient air, etc.

(2) Epoxy coal tar pitch: It is mainly used for anti-corrosion and anti-rust treatment of buried natural environment and part of the contact with the road surface, such as directly buried pipelines, industrial equipment, and the bottom of oil storage tanks.

2. The anti-corrosion principle is different:

(1) Epoxy zinc-rich primer: it belongs to the photoelectric catalytic anti-rust treatment anti-corrosion topcoat. The paint layer contains zinc powder of metal material. Zinc powder is due to the reaction between steel and corrosive substances and conversion into chemical substances with corrosion inhibition effect.

(2) Epoxy coal tar pitch: The anti-rust treatment and anti-corrosion effect of this paint is mainly reflected in the high-quality moisture and cold resistance, moisture resistance, acid resistance and soil corrosion resistance. It is a shielding type anti-rust treatment coating with stable organic chemical properties.

Heavy-duty anti-corrosion supporting facilities for steel frame structures such as highways and bridges: epoxy zinc-rich primer + epoxy resin micaceous iron intermediate paint + fluorocarbon spray paint/polysiloxane paint.

Railway tunnel supporting facilities: epoxy zinc-rich primer + epoxy resin micaceous iron intermediate paint + gray alumina powder high-purity graphite alkyd paint.

(2) Epoxy coal tar pitch supporting facilities:
