The anti-corrosion supporting plan of the container is generally determined by the goods transported inside the container and the external environment. Among them, the requirements for anti-corrosion of sea cargo containers are relatively strict. Epoxy zinc-rich primer is a typical anti-corrosion coating. The principle is to use the sacrificial anode reaction of metallic zinc to protect the steel substrate. After the steel surface is coated with zinc-rich paint, when damage occurs on the surface of the substrate, the external corrosive electrolyte (sea water, salt spray, etc.) will first corrode and consume the metal zinc to protect the substrate. At the same time, zinc acts as an oxide formed by the sacrificial anode , can play a certain sealing protection effect on the coating, strengthen the protection of the coating on the substrate, and prevent the further expansion of rust.
The container painting is divided into three parts:
1. For the outer surface, choose the matching scheme of epoxy zinc-rich primer + epoxy mica intermediate paint + acrylic polyurethane topcoat
2. For the inner surface, use epoxy zinc-rich primer + epoxy topcoat
3. There are two situations for the bottom frame. One is to choose the matching plan of epoxy zinc-rich primer + asphalt paint, and some manufacturers will choose the same coating plan as the outer surface.
This is the paint matching scheme that has been used with Korean factories specializing in the production of containers.
