Epoxy Zinc-rich Primer Color and Gloss

Zinc powder is dark gray, and epoxy resin plus epoxy curing agent is light brown. The dry film of Epoxy Zinc-rich topcoat is definitely dark gray with broken emulsion and is commonly known as new dark gray. Some manufacturers add other auxiliary rust prevention processing color paste, and the color becomes black and gray. Epoxy zinc-rich primer is a non-glossy coating, and a glossy topcoat is not epoxy zinc-rich paint.

The proportion of zinc powder is 7. The proportion of epoxy zinc-rich primer is 2.24, so for a 20-liter bucket, the volume of 25kg of zinc-rich paint is only slightly more than half of the volume of the paint bucket. Organic Solvent Testing of Epoxy Zinc-rich Primer

Using epoxy paint thinner or xylene to test thoroughly cured epoxy zinc-rich primer, it should not dissolve. If xylene can dissolve it, it is not an epoxy zinc-rich primer.

From the appearance alone, distinguishing "epoxy zinc-rich primer" with significant differences does not necessarily ensure that the selected epoxy zinc-rich primer is a reliable product.
