The most important feature of alkyd surface tolerant antirust paint is that it has good anti-rust and rust-inhibiting performance. It also has good adhesion to the surface with stubborn rust and prevents the development of rust, often used as maintaining antirust coating.
An ordinary alkyd primer is recommended to be applied to the surface of a clean, rust-free substrate.
